GENERAL INFROMATION

Online courses are now available on multiple topics. These courses are designed to give you a taste of a particular aspect of the Da Xuan tradition without the need to commit fully to ongoing online training.

Online courses run for between 8 and 9 weeks depending on the topic. Registration will open a week or two prior to the start of any given course. Once you are registered, you will receive an email and access to the course videos on the starting date.  ***PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ADD contact@craigmallett.com TO YOUR EMAIL CONTACTS SO THE EMAILS DON’T GET CAUGHT IN THE SPAM FILTER***. You won’t be able to register or join after a course has began, however once a course is completed, if there is enough interest I will run it again.

All videos are prerecorded, so you can watch (and re-watch) them at any time you please during the course. You will need at least 15 minutes of practise every day to engage with the material properly, and of course doing more than this will produce more apparent results. Anyone with an internet connection is welcome to join the courses and there is no need for a certain level of fitness or previous experience in any of the topics unless specifically stated.

For the duration of the pandemic period, I will be offering a 50% discount on any course to anyone who needs it due to loss of employment or financial hardships. You’ll need to contact me directly to gain access to this. Refunds are not available once a course has commenced.

SHEN GONG – CALMING & FOCUSING THE MIND

DA XUAN QI GONG – INTERNAL TRAINING

    • feel the detail of your body, breath and circulation by relaxing
    • balance the opposites
    • confront your weakness so you may remove excessive tension
    • go from external training with attention on posture and motion, to internal training with attention on feelings of breath and circulation
    • unite the body
    • develop energetic grounding
    • train the foundational qualities of the Da Xuan family qi gong
    • enjoy your practice

PRIMORDIAL BREATHING – FREEING THE BREATH

    • open the breathing pathways (nostrils, thoracic, diaphragm)
    • improve your breathing capacity
    • calm and lengthen the breath
    • understand the relationship between breath and emotions
    • confront hidden anxiety
    • learn the 3 primary breaths of Da Xuan
    • use your breathing exercises while lying, sitting, standing and walking to bring you into the present
